They’re teasing us with the new series of Brooklyn Nine Nine, aren’t they?

It’s gone from being cancelled (which caused outrage) to being picked up again by NBC (which everyone loved), and now we’ve got a first look at season six.

As well as a preview of what to expect in the forthcoming season, the video also gets up right up to speed with what went down in the previous season.

If you’re struggling to remember, not only did we see Jake and Amy tie the knot, but we were left tearing our hair out with the news that Captain Holt was offered the new job as Commissioner.

Who know if he’ll accept it, but here’s that sneak peak I was talking about.

This comes after the aforementioned teaser which saw Jake channel his inner Die-Hard.

Jake can be seen standing on top of a high-rise building as Detectives Diaz, Jeffords and wife Amy Santiago look up perplexed as to what to do next.

Naturally he then jumps off the building and hangs on to a helicopter – before it’s all revealed to be a day-dream sequence from the cop, acted out by tiny plastic figures.

Check it out below:

After it was announced that NBC would be picking up the show following its cancellation by Fox, Robert Greenblatt, Chairmanof NBC Entertainment said:

“Ever since we sold this show to Fox I’ve regretted letting it get away, and it’s high time it came back to its rightful home.”

“Mike Schur, Dan Goor, and Andy Samberg grew up on NBC and we’re all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy line-up. I speak for everyone at NBC, here’s to the Nine-Nine!”

Brooklyn Nine-Nine returns 10th January on NBC in the US, and will air in the UK at a later date.

Thank you, NBC, thank you.
