But the awards don’t end there, as he has now been nominated for an Oscar thanks to his impressive performance as the King of Rock and Roll.

Awards season kicked off as The Golden Globes made their return on the 10th of January, signalling the start of a very busy few months for those in the awards show circuit.

The announcement event took place at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre and was hosted by actors Riz Ahmed, Oscar winner for his movie The Long Goodbye, and Allison Williams, known best for the hit show Girls, who stars in the latest creepy doll movie, M3GAN.

But one name that was on everyone’s lips during Tuesday’s event was Austin Butler, for his performance in the hit biopic Elvis.

And after looking at a side-by-side comparison of Butler as Elvis and the king himself, it’s easy to see why he was nominated for Best Actor.
