Love Island Fans Threaten To Complain To Ofcom After ‘Bullying’ Claims

Fans of the hit series Love Island have been sharing their concerns online, with many claiming that Zara is being bullied after a recent game of Truth or Dare in the villa.

This comes after Zara broke down in tears, accusing Tom of giving her the “ick” after he announced that he preferred fellow contestant Olivia’s face over hers.

The second-ever winter series began earlier this month, with Maya Jama leaving viewers stunned by her iconic entrance to the villa.

The news that Jama would be taking over as host came out last year, when the twenty-eight-year-old was unveiled as the fresh presenter of the popular dating series. It followed Laura Whitmore’s announcement that she would be departing the show due to “new conflicting projects.”

To get you caught up on all the drama that’s gone on so far, let’s have a quick recap.

Girls Tanya Manhenga, Lana Jenkins, Anna-May Robey, Tanyel Revan and Olivia Hawkins all made their way to the villa seeking love. Similarly, boys Kai Fagan, Ron Hall, Shaq Muhammad, Haris Namani, as well as our farming icon Will young, joined in on the quest.

When it came to the secret bombshell, Tom Clare’s entry caused quite a stir, adding to the already-high drama levels. The footballer walked into the villa after the five couples had been paired up already.

It didn’t take long for him to familiarise himself with the girls and quickly came to the conclusion on who he wanted to couple up with. The newcomer chose Olivia Hawkins.

A decision that left farmer Will Young in danger of being eliminated.

The Buckinghamshire native was given another chance when bombshell Zara entered the villa. Sadly though, the model seemed more interested in the other guys, namely footballer Tom, and rejected Will’s advances.

Since then, there has been a lot of drama surrounding Zara and Tom’s relationship, and things reached a head recently during a game of truth or dare.

After being asked to name the three girls that would make up his perfect partner in the villa, the footballer said that Olivia had the “best face” Lana the “best personality,” and Zara the “best body,” which understandably hit Zara pretty hard considering the pair were coupled up together.

Zara was clearly taken back by his comments, and when islander Lana Jenkins asked if she was ok, Zara said: “No, I just can’t be a***d. All the girls picked Tom. Liv picked Tom like twice. He picked Liv’s face. I’m not just some f*****g booty to you.”

She continued: “He’s giving me mad ick. If you don’t like me, move from me. I just don’t understand it.

“One minute he’s saying he’s all for me then he wants to get to know other people? Why is he saying he likes her face?”  Later on in the Beach Hut, she said: “At this point, it’s actually exhausting.”

Viewers were shocked by Lana, who then told Tom about her conversation with Zara: “The initial attraction is there with me and Zara but, will it last?

“I don’t want drama, I want someone to come home to and they’re lifting me up and boosting me, it’s probably been a bit of a wake-up call for me tonight, I needed it.”

Later in the episode, Zara pulled Tom aside, after which they agreed to part ways and stay friends.

Tom went on to explain his decision: “I just thought whatever I would have picked, there would have been no good outcome.”

Zara replied: “I just thought there was no coming back from that.

“There’s days when I want it to work and you’re confused, days when you want it to work and you’re confused.

“I think there has been a lot of drama and headaches and confusion, and for this to happen this early on, it’s too much.”

Tom then said: “I think you’re a top girl and you have good intentions. I’ll always be here for you.”
