The mother of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was involved in a serious car crash in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, it has been revealed.
The Black Adam star shared a photo of the wreckage to his Instagram account. Her red Cadillac Escalade was severely damaged, particularly on the front passenger side.
Johnson added a lengthy caption alongside the picture, which confirmed that she was OK: “Angels of mercy watched over my mom as she was in a car crash late last night.
“She’ll survive and continue to get evaluated.
He continued: “This woman has survived lung cancer, tough marriage, head on collision with a drunk driver and attempted s*****e.
“She’s a survivor, in ways that make angels and miracles real.
“Thank you LAPD & LAFD for being so caring & focused. Thanks for staying on phone and talking me thru it all.
“I got one parent left, so if you still got your mom and dad make sure you hug ‘em hard, cos you never know when you’ll get that 3am call we never want to get.”
The Rock has consistently proven himself to be one of the best guys in Hollywood.
One good example of this is when the former wrestler returned back to an old store where he used to steal Snickers bars from when he was younger to make up for his old mistakes.
“I have been waiting decades to do what I’m getting ready to do now,” the fifty-year-old explained at the time. “When I was fourteen years old, every day I used to stop here at this 7-Eleven and steal a king sized Snicker bar, because I couldn’t afford to buy one.”
“That was my pre-workout food,” he said.”I did that for almost a year every day.”
Johnson said that he “had to come back and buy every Snickers bar on those shelves” in order to make up for his past missteps. So, he goes and buys every single Snickers bar on the shelves, and instructs the clerk to “ring all these up”.
In the caption of the post, he explained the reason for his generosity.
“We were evicted from Hawaii in ‘87 and after all these years – I finally got back home to right this wrong.”
“The same clerk was there every day and always just turned her head and never busted me,” he shared.
“I’ve exercised a few big demons over the years,” he continued, “so I know this one seems VERY SILLY, but every time I come back home to Hawaii and drive by 7-11…
I always knew I needed to go in and clean out every Snickers bar they had – the right way.”
“And as a bonus it was a lot of fun to take care of everybody who walked into 7-11 while I was there.
“Least I could do considering all the s*** I used to steal from here.”
He concluded: “We can’t change the past and some of the dumb stuff we may have done, but every once in a while we can add a little redeeming grace note to that situation — and maybe put a big smile on some stranger’s faces.”
