Millie Bobby Brown Says Henry Cavill Set ‘Strict’ Boundaries In Their Relationship

Millie Bobby Brown has revealed that co-star Henry Cavill sets “strict” boundaries with her in their relationship.

The nineteen-year-old contrasted this to her Stranger Things co-stars, who she said she “grew up” with.

The pair star together in Netflix’s smash hit movie Enola Holmes, and it seems they’ve had to lay down some personal ground rules.

Millie Bobby Brown started out her career in drama workshops up and down the country. The English actress was scouted by a Hollywood talent agent who told her parents she could “mix it with the best kids in Hollywood.”

Millie and her parents then moved to Florida, where she enrolled in stage school, after which she made appearances in well-known TV programs including, Modern Family and Grey’s Anatomy.

Then in 2016, she landed her life-changing role in Stranger Things. Starring as Eleven, a telekinetic prisoner who becomes obsessed with a snack called Eggo, the teen has undoubtedly found the most global success from the show.

It’s here that Millie found her footing in the industry. And young Millie’s role as Eleven has well and truly rocketed her to stardom.

But it hasn’t always been easy, being thrust into the spotlight so young. The problem with becoming “famous” is that you have to give up privacy. You’re forced to watch your life unfold in a way that you could never imagine, with false news being spread about yourself as well as the people around you.

Unwanted media attention is difficult for anybody, let alone a young girl. The media scrutinises anyone they can, spreading lies or false rumours, about even young children, just to sell a story. It’s the worst aspect of becoming a celebrity and Millie has obviously become a victim of the press over the years.

One of the many things Millie has been criticised for is her male friends, or as some people claimed, her relationships. Millie was repeatedly seen hanging out with men much older than her which left fans unsettled.

One of them being Drake, who was slammed for hanging out with the teenager on many occasions. Obviously, some think it was completely innocent but one of his “supposed” girlfriends was an eighteen-year-old model, who Drake first came into contact with when she was only sixteen and he was twenty-nine.

Since then, she has opened up about her “real adult relationship” with her Enola Holmes co-star Henry Cavill.

The star revealed that Cavil, who plays Sherlock, has “strict” boundaries when it comes to their friendship.

She told Deadline that it differs massively from her connection with Stranger Things co-stars Noah Schnapp and Charlie Heaton.

“It’s different because I grew up with Noah and Charlie. I met them when I was 10. So, for me, it does feel like your schoolmates,” she said.

“And with Henry, it feels like a real adult relationship.”

Adding: “[We have] like a really good friendship, a really healthy one. One that we have terms and conditions.”

According to Millie, this is marked by the boundaries Cavill puts in place, “I know Henry. He has terms and conditions with me. I’m not allowed to ask about his personal life. It’s like, ‘Millie, shut up. No.’ And I’m like ‘Understood,’” she explained.

Millie added that this isn’t the same with her Stranger Things co-stars. “Whereas with the Stranger Things kids, it’s different. There’s no boundaries because it’s like we’re all siblings,” she said.

“But with Henry, he’s very strict with me, which I appreciate.”
