Fans of the hit franchise Harry Potter have recast all the important roles using American actors and actresses…

And they all fit perfectly!

But first lets go back to where it all began. What started out as a mere musing while stuck on a delayed train in London, 1990, led to a young Joanne Rowling conjuring up the magical story of Harry Potter.

Thirty years since it’s creation, over 500 million copies of the book franchise have been sold worldwide in eighty different languages, making it one of the best-selling book series of all time.

The adventures of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger were quick to capture a vast and loyal fanbase, with children and adults alike being instantly captivated by the novel.

So, of course, it didn’t take long for the movie adaptations to come along, bringing Rowling’s words and imagination to life by transforming them into a series of blockbuster movies.

The wizardry and witchcraft mania that was induced by the books was only exaggerated after the release of the on-screen adaptations which, collectively, grossed around $6.5 billion in total.

It’s safe to say it was, and still is, a massive hit. So much so, that some want it to be remade in America.

Although Harry Potter is a very British franchise, some fans have recently reimagined the cast using entirely American actors, and it’s pretty amazing.

Actress Bonnie Wright brought the character of Ginny to life, and some think that Sadie Sink would be the perfect American counterpart.

Matriarch, Molly Weasley, played by the incredibly talented Julie Walters has been recast by fans, and they think Melissa McCarthy would be perfect for the role.

Gaten Matarazzo has been chosen to play the awkward hero, Neville Longbottom.

Helena Bonham Carter, no stranger to spooky roles, did an excellent job as Voldemort’s sidekick Bellatrix Lastrange, and some think Mila Kunis could take on the role.

Jack Nicholson would make a fantastic Mad-Eye Moody, and fans of The Shining actor think so too.

Steve Buscemi as Argus Filch. Buscemi has pretty impressive range when it comes to acting, and he also has the Filch look down to a tee.

Meryl Streep is the prefect actress to play Minerva Mcgonagall. Although her most recent role was the musical Mamma Mia, Streep has taken on a serious character before in The Devil Wears Prada, and she was magnificent.

Severus Snape’s character is arguably one of the most important, and who better to take on the task than Adam Driver, he is undoubtedly the only actor that could take on such a huge role.

Jorge Garcia as Rubeus Hagrid. Although no one could fill the boots of Robbie Coltrane, who passed away in October 2022, Garcia would fit the lovable half-giant perfectly.

Although Ralph Fiennes could never be upstaged as Lord Voldemort, John Malkovich would be a very good recast.

Hermione’s “know it all” persona was made more believable by Emma Watson’s excellent English accent, but when it comes to the American version, fans think Marsai Martin would be a great choice.

When it comes to the Weasleys, the iconic red hair is extremely important, and that’s why people feel Benjamin Haigh would make a great Ron Weasley… as well as his acting talent, obviously.

Finally, people think the most important part of Harry should go to Owen Vaccaro, who rose to fame after starring in the Daddy’s Home series and The House with a Clock in Its Walls. We have to admit, he does have the classic Potter look.
