Nick Cannon Slammed For ‘Disgusting’ Joke Announcement

Comedian and TV host Nick Cannon is known for a lot of things, but one of the biggest reasons for his notoriety is the fact that he has a whopping twelve children.

And it looked like the star wanted to expand his family even more, as, on International Women’s Day, Cannon took to his socials to tease a brand new ‘show’ where, in what they dubbed to be the ‘mother of all game shows’, he would pick from a group of contestants as to who will have his next baby.

But not everyone saw the funny side of this joke announcement, with some social media users condemning Cannon’s attitude as “disgusting”.

To give you a quick run through of all of the kids Cannon already has, first up are his twins Monroe and Moroccan with Mariah Carey, both aged eleven.

Then came Golden Sagon, 6, Powerful Queen, 2, and Rise Messiah, 5 months, who he had with Brittany Bell.

With Abby De La Rosa, Cannon has 3 children, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, who are both twenty months old, as well as Beautiful Zeppelin, who is 3 months old.

Cannon also had 2 kids with Alyssa Scott. Their first child, named Zen Scott, sadly died back in December 2021 aged just 5 months old. They welcomed Halo Marie late last year, making her 2 months old.

To round it all off, he has one child with Bre Tiesi, named Legendary Love and aged 8 months old, and one with LaNisha Cole, named Onyx Ice, aged 5 months.

Per Entertainment Tonight, the ‘show’, which looked to be named Who’s Having My Baby With Nick Cannon, is set to be hosted by Kevin Hart. However, per Variety, the ‘show’ is actually more of a sketch for a currently unannounced and untitled project of Hart’s.

In the teaser trailer, viewers get a peek at a couple of women who are potential ‘contestants’, and Hart telling Cannon: “You’re gonna get some contestants that wanna have your baby.”

Then, we get a peek at Cannon going “eeny, meeny, miny, [moe],” in a nod to both the choice he has to make, and the classic nursery rhyme.

However, not everyone saw the comedy in the ‘announcement’.

One fan wrote: “I don’t find it amusing in the slightest. Women are not a commodity to be peddled on a game show. What strikes me is the hypocrisy and double standard related to how the public has reacted to Nick Cannon versus how they would react if we were talking about a woman that had twelve children with 5 different men.”

Another commented: “This is so disrespectful of all mothers and the mothers of your children.”

While a third said: “Very disappointing… Grow up… This is not a flex.”

It comes weeks after the Masked Singer host said, in reference to having kids: “God decides when we’re done.”

He told Entertainment Tonight: “I believe I definitely got my hands full. And I’m so focused. I’m locked in. But when I’m eighty-five, you never know. I might.”

He said that “energy management” was more important than time management when it comes to handling his big brood.

“Once we’re all aligned, the flow is a lot easier. If there’s any kind of low frequencies or dissension in there that’s what messes up the scheduling. As long as we’re all on the same page and we all got the same goal – to be the best parents we could possibly be – that works and then the scheduling is the scheduling.”
