Keanu Reeves is already a legend of Hollywood. From his iconic role as Neo in The Matrix to his stellar performance as Johnny Utah in Point Break, there is no need to go on about how Reeves is one of the best in the business.
However, it seems that the Canadian actor is just about to top even his own catalogue with the release of his latest movie, John Wick: Chapter 4.
The John Wick movies have been a staple of modern cinema for a good few years now, since the release of the first flick, titled simply John Wick, back in 2014.
The Reeves-fronted franchise follows the title character, a former hitman who has no choice but to return to the criminal underworld that he left behind years before. The first movie proved to be a huge success, and John Wick: Chapter 2 and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum followed in 2017 and 2019, respectively.
But now, the series’ fourth movie has arrived, and both critics and fans are all over it, hailing it as one of the greatest action movies of all time.
The hugely anticipated film is set to see Wick attempt to escape the clutches of the High Table, and try to earn back his freedom from the criminal syndicate.
The world premiere took place in Leicester Square in London this week, and the movie has proven itself to be everything fans hoped it would be.
One person said: “John Wick: Chapter 4 pushes the envelope in the action genre as we know it. The cast is STACKED and the fight scenes are dynamic! After 4 movies, you’d think there’d be some fatigue. This is not the case, you’ll just have to see it for yourself.”
Another wrote in their review: “I was blown away by many of the action sequences in #JohnWickChapter4. This is definitely the biggest & most badass JOHN WICK movie yet w/ a runtime near 3 hours & an ending everyone will be talking about. No one does action like this – it’s on another level. Part 4 simply rules.”
While a third commented: “JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 is a stunning feat of action filmmaking. The ambitious stunts, cinematography, & sound have never been better. Keanu Reeves continues to push his body to the limit while Donnie Yen & Hiroyuki Sanada add real gravitas to the most epic film of the franchise yet.”
Well, it certainly seems like fans are in for a treat when it finally hits cinemas in the UK on March 24!
