Snoop Dogg has revealed who he thinks is the best smoking partner, and it makes a lot of sense!
Now, anyone who is anyone knows who Snoop Dogg is. The California-born rapper and songwriter rose to fame as one of the best-known figures in gangsta rap in the 1990s and was, for many, the epitome of West Coast hip-hop culture.
But, what might come as a surprise to some, is Snoop isn’t his real name. The rapper was actually born Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr. on October 20, 1971.
It is thought that his “Snoop Dogg” nickname came from his mother because she thought he looked like Snoopy from the Peanuts cartoon.
Snoop Dogg shot to fame many years ago, when first came to the attention of producer-rapper Dr. Dre, who featured him on his single ‘Deep Cover’ and on his landmark album The Chronic in 1992.
From there, Snoop’s prominent vocals on the hit singles ‘Dre Day’ and ‘Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang’ fuelled his rapid ascent to stardom. And not long after Snoop released his first album, the Dre-produced Doggystyle in 1993, which climbed its way to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s hip-hop and Top 200 charts, based in part on the success of the singles ‘Who Am I (What’s My Name)?’ and ‘Gin and Juice’.
But away from the world of music, Snoop is perhaps most famous for his love of m***juana.
Back in 2018, Jimmy Kimmel asked the rapper about who the top dogs were when it came to smoking the reefer.
“Seth Rogen was here last week, and we were talking about Mount Rushmore of pot smokers, and of course, you are on,” the host said.
“And I think that Seth is on Mt. Rushmore. Who would you put on that Mt. Rushmore?” he said. And Snoop Dogg’s answer went viral on the internet…
“I would put Bob Marley. I would put Cheech and Chong they were the first faces on the mountain, they’re the ones who showed us what a mountain was,” Snoop replied. However, he then revealed who was the real king when it came to puffing big.
“Willie P. Nelson is definitely on there. And by the way, Willie Nelson is the only person who has ever out-smoked Snoop Dogg. I had to hit the ‘time out’ button.” said Snoop. When asked if he’d ever had to hit that button before, he replied: “Never. Never.”
So now we’ve established who can out-smoke Snoop Dogg, but he recently shared who he loves smoking with the most…
It seems that fellow w**d enthusiast Seth Rogen is up there as Snoop’s best smoking buddy.
Speaking on The Howard Stern show, the musician said: “They [other people] talk too mother f**king much, and get in the way. Seth enjoys the moment [getting high], he’s creative… this mother f**ker knows how to make a joint that looks like a cross.
“He’s a bad mother f**ker at that… when he pulled that cross out, I was like, ‘God, let there be light!’”
So there you have it!
