People Are Sharing Concern For Millie Bobby Brown After Engagement Announcement

Millie Bobby Brown has some news to share, the Stranger Things star is now engaged to her boyfriend Jake Bongiovi.

However, not all fans are pleased for the star, but are instead concerned following her announcement.

The nineteen-year-old has been in a relationship with Bongiovi for years, and the pair were first spotted together back in June 2021, after being photographed holding hands in New York City.

Now, Millie Bobby Brown started out her career in drama workshops up and down the country. The English actress was scouted by a Hollywood talent agent who told her parents she could “mix it with the best kids in Hollywood.”

Millie and her parents then moved to Florida, where she enrolled in stage school, after which she made appearances in well-known TV programs including, Modern Family and Grey’s Anatomy.

Then in 2016, she landed her life-changing role in Stranger Things. Starring as Eleven, a telekinetic prisoner who becomes obsessed with a snack called Eggo, the teen has undoubtedly found the most global success from the show.

It’s here that Millie found her footing in the industry. And young Millie’s role as Eleven has well and truly rocketed her to stardom.

But it hasn’t always been easy, being thrust into the spotlight so young. The problem with becoming “famous” is that you have to give up privacy. You’re forced to watch your life unfold in a way that you could never imagine, with false news being spread about yourself as well as the people around you.

Unwanted media attention is difficult for anybody, let alone a young girl. The media scrutinises anyone they can, spreading lies or false rumours, about even young children, just to sell a story. It’s the worst aspect of becoming a celebrity and Millie has obviously become a victim of the press over the years.

One of the many things Millie has been criticised for is her male friends, or as some people claimed, her relationships. Millie was repeatedly seen hanging out with men much older than her which left fans unsettled.

One of them being Drake, who was slammed for hanging out with the teenager on many occasions. Obviously, some think it was completely innocent but one of his “supposed” girlfriends was an eighteen-year-old model, who Drake first came into contact with when she was only sixteen and he was twenty-nine.

She has obviously also gone on to have a great connection with Stranger Things co-stars Noah Schnapp and Charlie Heaton.

“It’s different because I grew up with Noah and Charlie. I met them when I was 10. So, for me, it does feel like your schoolmates,” she said in an interview last year.

Millie has also been in the spotlight when it comes to her relationship with Jon Bon Jovi’s son, Jake.

The pair have been an item since being spotted together back in 2021, and it seems the two love birds are ready to take things to the next level…

As they’re now engaged!

She and her boyfriend shared a romantic Instagram post on Monday to share the news.

She captioned the post: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.”

However, not everyone is best pleased for the star. As BuzzFeed reports, ‘She’s 19’ began trending on Twitter following her announcement, where social media users began to share their concern for Millie’s young age for such a life commitment as marriage.

One person said: “She’s 19. You do you sis but I was a mess at 19. Getting married would have been at the bottom of my list at that point.”

Another wrote: “My only hot take about Millie Bobby Brown’s engagement is: can you IMAGINE getting engaged to the person you were with at 19 omg omg I’d have launched myself off a cliff by now.”

However, others defended her choice, with one person saying: “‘She’s 19’ and she wants to get married so? Why do you care? She can marry whoever and whenever she wants, that decision doesn’t involve you. I’m happy for them!”

Another wrote: “All jokes aside, y’all need to realise Millie is 19… she’s no 15 anymore. And Jake is 20. So it’s a perfectly normal relationship. Maybe quick in terms of engagement, but that’s their business… not ours.”
