Jessie J has finally revealed the name of her newborn baby, after announcing the birth of her little one last month.
The thirty-five-year-old first announced her pregnancy back in January, but she left fans waiting until recently to announce the identity of the father.
Now, Jessie J is an absolute icon of the British music scene. Born Jessica Ellen Cornish, the singer’s career began way back in 2006, but it wasn’t until 2008 that she found some success when she was invited to support Cyndi Lauper on her UK tour.
Before finding success as a solo artist, Jessie J worked as a songwriter, and had a part in penning such hits as Miley Cyrus’ ‘Party in the USA’.
However, by 2010, the singer had put out her first single, titled ‘Do It Like a Dude’, which reached number 2 in the UK charts. Following this, Jessie J released her incredibly catchy second single ‘Price Tag’, which hit number 1.
From there, the London native became a household name, going on to sing more hits such as ‘Domino’, ‘Flashlight’ and ‘Bang Bang’.
Naturally, the songstress has amassed a huge fanbase as a result of all these hits, and they have been hugely supportive of the star since she announced her pregnancy earlier this year. However, curiosity has meant many fans couldn’t wait to find out the identity of the father of the newborn, which Jessie J has since revealed.
In a message shared to her Instagram stories, the star explained, per IGV: “I struggle to keep things private. I think if you know me you know that.
“I want to protect people I love and keep it for just myself… and then so often I think f*** it because life is short but I don’t want to regret it. Once you open the door you can’t close it.”
She continued: “I met this man, weeks after my miscarriage in 2021. Like a beam of light. He lit up my dark days.
“It was a whirlwind love and a miracle that we fell pregnant naturally with not one issue during.
“Grateful doesn’t cut it. He has given me many of the best gifts of my life.”
She also revealed that she gave birth to her child via C-section, and that he was beside her the whole time.
“He didn’t let go of my hand this day and I wouldn’t have been able to go through it without him,” she shared.
“The calm to my crazy. The peace to my fear. The daddy to my baby. Thank you,” she concluded her heartfelt statement.
The singer then shared some snaps of her baby daddy, who E! News confirmed to be Danish basketball player Chanan Safir Colman.
However, the latest update from the pair is possibly the most exciting yet – the name of the new little one!
In her latest post, Jessie J confirmed the name of her newborn to be Sky Safir Cornish Colman.
Fans have reacted to the news of little one with joy, and took to the post’s comments section to share their well wishes.
“The most beautiful baby,” one wrote.
