Billie Eilish Photo Reveals The Tattoo She Swore Fans Would ‘Never See’

Billie Eilish is undoubtedly one of the coolest people on the planet, but in a recent snap of the star she revealed something that she once swore fans would ‘never see’.

Back in 2019, Eilish sat down with Vanity Fair, where she admitted the existence of the tattoo.

“I did get a tattoo,” she shared. “But you won’t ever see it.”

Now, Eilish is one of pop music’s brightest young talents. Aged just twenty-one, she has already been on the scene since 2015, when she released her very first single, titled ‘Ocean Eyes’. This track marked the beginning of a brilliant partnership with her older brother, Finneas O’Connell, with whom Eilish has worked closely throughout her career. In fact, almost every song in her discography is co-written by her brother!

The song that really propelled Eilish to stardom, however, is undoubtedly 2019’s ‘Bad Guy’. Aged just seventeen at the time, Eilish’s song topped the Billboard Hot 100, and went on to win both Song and Record of the Year at the 2020 Grammy Awards. That same year, she also won Best New Artist and her album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, also won Album of the Year.

Another defining feature of Eilish’s brand during her rise to fame was her signature style. The star wore almost exclusively baggy and oversized clothes, which she explained was a deliberate choice.

“I never want the world to know everything about me,” Billie said back in 2019, per Pop Sugar.

She elaborated: “Nobody can have an opinion because they haven’t seen what’s underneath. Nobody can be like, ‘she’s slim-thick,’ ‘she’s not slim-thick,’ ‘she’s got a flat *ss,’ ‘she’s got a fat *ss.’ No one can say any of that because they don’t know.”

However, in recent years, Eilish’s style has evolved to include more feminine fits, for which the star faced criticism.

She wrote on her Instagram stories earlier this year: “I spent the first 5 years of my career getting absolutely OBLITERATED by you fools for being boy ish and dressing how I did & constantly being told I’d be hotter if I acted like a woman.

“And now when I feel comfortable enough to wear anything remotely feminine or fitting, I CHANGED and am a sellout.”

“FUN FACT! did you know that woman are multifaceted!!!!!??? shocking right?? believe it or not women could be interested in multiple things. Also that femininity does not equal weakness???!!!! omg?! insane right? who knew. And also totally unheard of and insane to want to express yourself differently at different times,” she added in subsequent stories, via Pop Buzz.

With all this in mind, it’s understandable why Eilish thought fans would ‘never see’ the tattoo in question, which is situated on her chest. However, in a snap shared to Instagram by her pal Annabel Zimmer, Eilish can be seen leaning back in a Miaou bikini top and Versace sunglasses, giving fans a glimpse of the tattoo.

The tat features her name “in an ornate, gothic font” that she got the day after the 2020 Grammys, as per Rolling Stone.
