Update Given On Madonna’s Condition After She Was Found Unresponsive

An update has been issued on Madonna’s condition following the news that she was hospitalised after being found unresponsive earlier this week.

Friends of the star have been sending the star their prayers and wishes for her speedy recovery.

The pop icon was admitted to intensive care on June 24 and continues to get medical care in hospital. The star’s manager Guy Oseary shared the news in a post on Instagram, announcing that she had suffered a ‘serious bacterial infection’.

As per the New York Post, the sixty-four-year-old was found ‘unresponsive’ at a New York City residence on Saturday, and was then admitted to the ICU. She has since been moved into a regular ward to recover.

Thankfully, her manager reassured fans her condition has improved and she is expected to make a full recovery.

She was set to embark on her ‘Celebration’ world tour in less than 3 weeks time, but the shows have now been postponed to allow for time for the star to make a full recovery.

The statement from her management team read: “On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU.

“Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.

“At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”

Friends of the star have been flooding the post with love.

“Sending Madonna my prayers for a speedy recovery,” wrote Rita Wilson.

Michelle Visage commented: “TAKE GOOD CARE OF OUR QUEEN.”

“Sending her so much love from us,” Isla Fisher said.
