Caleb Willingham, who appeared in the hit TLC show 1000-Lb. Sisters, alongside Tammy Slaton, has sadly died aged just 40 years old.
According to TMZ, Tammy Slaton shared a statement following the news of her estranged husband’s death, which was confirmed by his stepmother, Shirley Willingham.
The devastating news comes after the 1000-lb Sisters star left fans shocked, with some saying she looks “completely unrecognizable” following her weight loss.
The 36-year-old got married to Caleb Willingham three weeks after the couple got engaged late last year.
Speaking to People magazine, the star shared that she married her husband at Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Gibsonburg in Ohio last November.
She told the publication: “You all knew me as Tammy Slaton, but now you’ll all know me as Mrs. Tammy Willingham.
“I’m married now!”
A source shared that they had a small wedding of around 30 guests and that Tammy wore a “white gown and tiara, as she poses with her sister Amy”.
The wedding was later documented in the series, The 1000-lb Sisters on 17 January.
Shortly after, Slaton told People mag, “Our wedding day was perfect, there was so much love in the room. I literally married my best friend.”
Sadly, just months later, the pair called it quits.
An insider told The Sun, “They split up because Caleb hasn’t been following his diet in rehab. He has gained 30 pounds and hasn’t been working his program.”
Following the split the star uploaded a video of herself lip syncing to “Where are you Christmas” on TikTok and fans were left shocked by the “unrecognizable” change. See below:
Some fans commented: “You’re looking fantastic Tammy. Hope you enjoyed the holidays.”
“Tammy you’re looking great!”

Sadly, Tammy has now shared some devastating news, revealing that her ex-husband Caleb has died aged 40.

“When I met Caleb he became my guardian angel and now he really is watching over me. Our families appreciate everyone’s sympathy and ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”
Dozens have shared their tributes to the reality star online, with one writing: “So sad. I’m happy he found love and happiness before his passing but very sad for those he left behind.”
While another wrote: “Rest in peace…this is just sad and I really hope this isn’t going to set Tammy back on her weight loss journey because she’s doing an amazing job. Prayers for the family and Tammy.”
“How tragic. They didn’t have that much time together. But I’m sure grateful for the blessings they made together,” a third wrote.
While another said: “That’s so sad. He really did care about Tammy. It’s a shame he never got the surgery and a chance to save his life like she did.”
