Selena Gomez has taken to Instagram to share her pre tanning routine, and her fans are going wild for her recent snaps.
Now, we all know Selena Gomez, the star began her acting career in 2002 as a child on the PBS children’s TV series Barney & Friends.
Gomez subsequently flourished as a young Disney channel star, leading productions such as Wizards of Waverley Place and Princess Protection Program.
And since then, the actress has gone on to release music for Disney projects, including singing the theme song for Wizards of Waverly Place.
But it wasn’t long before the actress went on to make a name for herself away from children’s entertainment.
Notable roles of hers include Spring Breakers, and more recently the TV series Only Murders in the Building.
The actress-turned-singer began bagging heaps of popularity, and in 2017 she sold over 7 million albums and twenty-two million singles worldwide.
Then in 2020, Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world, proving she’s unstoppable in every way.
She’s come a very long way from where she started, and there’s one person that she’s had to keep her grounded along the way, and that’s fellow musician and proclaimed best friend, Taylor Swift.
The pair have been close friends since 2008 when they were both teen idols dating 2 separate Jonas Brothers.
Not long after, Selena began dating Justin Bieber, with whom she had a long-running on-and-off relationship before he later married Hailey in 2018.
Both Selena and Hailey have denied having a tense relationship despite Selena’s followers’ constant trolling of Hailey on social media.
However, after she took a brief break from social media, Selena came back with a bang, and she continues to shine on Instagram and TikTok, with her likes increasing by the day.
And one of her recent posts has almost broken the internet, with fans rushing to the comment section to share their love for the star.
The pictures in the most recent tweet resemble snapshots from TikTok, where Gomez has a sizable fan base of around 59 million people. More than 570 million people have already liked her TikTok videos.
Gomez’s photo with the caption “@dolceglow tan before I tan” has already received over eight million likes in a little more than 48 hours. Not only that, but the Only Murders In The Building star’s two photos have received more than 54,000 comments.
One fan commented: “The earth got hotter after this post” while another said: “Mother is Mothering”.
And it didn’t stop there, the love kept coming, with a third writing: “This one is about to break the internet” and someone else adding, “Queen of Instagram just broke the internet”.
Eight million likes may seem like a minor number when compared to some of Gomez’s other viral postings with up to 20 million likes, but that doesn’t mean the comments have been any less fervent than normal.
