Lindsay Lohan has given birth to her first child, and shared the sweet name.
It comes after the thirty-seven-year-old announced her pregnancy back in March, sharing that her and husband Bader Shammas were overjoyed at the news. The pair married back in 2022, after getting engaged in 2021.
Lohan first rose to fame as a child, having made her breakthrough in the 1998 adaptation of The Parent Trap. She then went on to star in movies such as Freaky Friday, Get a Clue and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. However, it was her starring role in 2004’s Mean Girls that flew Lohan into total stardom, as her status as a teen idol was affirmed.
However, in the later noughties, Lohan faced several setbacks, as her career began to stall and she struggled with substance abuse issues. In recent years, though, the star has made a comeback to the public eye, releasing new music for the first time in twelve years, and making a return to film with the Netflix movie Falling For Christmas.
But the latest news from Lohan is the happiest yet, as she has announced the birth of her first child.
A representative of Lohan’s shared the news of their new little one with People. Although they have not yet announced the exact date of the birth, it has been confirmed that the birth happened in Dubai, where Lohan has resided since 2014.
The rep said: “Lindsay Lohan and her Financier husband, Bader Shammas, welcomed a beautiful, healthy son named Luai. The family is over the moon in love.”
Luai is an Arabic name, meaning “shield or protector”.
Fans have been responding to the happy news on social media.
One person said: “She looks beautiful, healthy and happy…… CONGRATULATIONS!”
“She looks so gorgeous,” another wrote.
A third commented: “I love how she overcame everything and has become such a gorgeous woman!!!! Congratulations to her and her husband!!”
