Mark Margolis, 83, passed suddenly on Thursday at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City, according to his son Morgan Margolis.

The actor was battling a brief illness.

Morgan and the star’s wife Jacqueline were by his bedside.

He appeared in several films, shows, and plays beginning in the 1970s, but Alberto The Shadow in Scarface is where he made his name.

Additionally, he portrayed Hector “Tio” Salamanca in the television shows Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad.

Robert Kolker, his manager said, “He was one of a kind. We won’t see his likes again. He was a treasured client and a lifelong friend. I was lucky to know him.”
