The woman in the well-known “not real” video, Tiffany Gomas, has now spoken out about the viral clip.
This comes after millions of social media users were drawn to an incident on an American Airlines flight, when a woman created havoc while strongly asserting that there was a person on board who she claimed was “not real.”
Just before the flight was about to leave Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, the strange outburst occurred.
On TikTok, the incident’s video soon went viral, shocking viewers and leaving many with dozens of questions.
The woman can be seen moving towards the front of the aircraft and screaming in the footage. She was filmed saying: “I’m telling you, I’m getting the f**k off, and there’s a reason why I’m getting the f**k off, and everyone can either believe it or they can choose not to believe it.”
She gestures to the back of the plane while clearly irritated, forcing other passengers to turn around in an attempt to see what had prompted her outburst. She says, “That motherf**ker back there is NOT real,” with great emphasis.
She then says, “You can sit on this plane and you can die with them or not,” to continue her rant. I won’t do that. The other passengers look on in confusion as she then seems to leave the plane.
A person going by the handle @texaskansasnnn posted the video to TikTok. Many are now questioning the legitimacy of the occurrence because it has since been deleted from that account.
The individual who released the video first admitted, according to sources from the Daily Mail, that the event resulted in a three-hour delay.
It’s interesting to note that the person behind the TikTok account who published the video said that the lady who caused the ruckus was not detained or arrested after her outburst.
And the woman in the video has now been named as Tiffany Gomas.
Gomas allegedly revealed that a dispute over wireless headphones provoked the outburst.
According to the police, Gomas got into a fight with the relatives she was visiting and accused them of taking her AirPods.
“The female then started claiming the aircraft was not safe and did not want the aircraft to leave due to her believing it would not make it to its destination,” the complaint on July 2 reads.
“Due to the statements the flight attendants felt the aircraft needed to be rescreened. [The airline manager] explained that the passenger was denied boarding and they wanted her escorted to the public side.”
“[The airline manager] gave Gomes a verbal criminal trespass notice, explaining she was denied boarding and needed to depart the secure area,” investigators noted.
And now she’s spoken out, apologising for her actions.
She took to TikTok to address the ordeal, saying: “Hi everyone, it’s me, Tiffany Gomas, probably better known as the ‘crazy plane lady’, which is completely warranted,” she begins the clip.
She continues: “My use of profanity was completely unnecessary, and I want to apologise to everyone on that plane, especially those that had children aboard.
“We all have our bad moments, um, some are far worse than others, and mine happened to be caught on camera for the whole world to see multiple times.”
She went on to talk about how the memes have impacted her life.
“While it has been pretty comical for everyone and I have highly enjoyed so many of the memes, on the flip side it was very invasive and unkind. I don’t know what I would do without the love and support of my friends and family,” she says.
She continues: “They are loyal to a fault and I don’t know what I did to deserve them. I hope that I can use this experience and do a little bit of good in the world and that is what I intend to do.
“I hope that you guys can accept my apology and I can begin to move on with my life.”
