Following the news that Britney Spears’ husband Sam Asghari has filed for divorce, further details of the “nuclear argument” that caused the split have come to light.
It has been reported that Asghari is going around calling out the person who Britney allegedly cheated on him with, which is the rumoured reason for their split.
The pair first started dating way back in 2016 after meeting on the set of one of Britney’s videos. They got engaged in September 2021, and officially tied the knot in June 2022.
Twenty-nine-year-old Sam has been there the whole way through the Free Britney movement, and seemed to be firmly on Britney’s side through the whole saga, even posing in a T-shirt for the cause.
Ever since her restrictive conservatorship ended, forty-one-year-old Britney has been causing a stir with her antics and making headlines across the world.
At first, she was delighting fans with the glimpse of newfound freedom, but it wasn’t long before fans began to grow concerned for the star.
This follows some erratic behaviour over the past year that has stirred up plenty of attention online.
Earlier this year, fans were left concerned about Brit’s well-being once again, after her Instagram account disappeared from the site. In total, she has reportedly deactivated her account a whopping 8 times over the last year.
Fans were so concerned about the star in fact, that one time they called the Ventura Co. Sheriff’s Office, and the police actually paid a visit to Britney at her home, as per TMZ.
She took to Twitter to share her response, writing: “As everyone knows, the police were called to my home based on some prank phone calls. I love and adore my fans but this time things went a little too far and my privacy was invaded.
“The police never entered my home and when they came to my gate they quickly realised there was no issue and left immediately.
“I truly hope the public and my fans who I care so much about can respect my privacy moving forward,” she concluded.
Since this incident, Britney has been laying pretty low. However, in recent months, both her and her husband, Sam Asghari, have been spotted out and about without their wedding bands on, leading to speculation as to whether the pair are still together.
However, now the news has been confirmed by TMZ that the pair are heading for divorce.
The outlet reports that the news comes after ‘deep trouble’ in Britney and Sam’s relationship, with sources claiming that a ‘nuclear’ argument about cheating allegations as being the final nail in the coffin. Sources add that Sam has moved out of the house and is living in his own place.
They went on to report that Sam is hitting out at Britney by telling people that she cheated on him with at least one male member of staff, and has engaged in inappropriate conduct with other workers. He claims that there is compromising footage of Britney with a staffer, which has confirmed his suspicions.
TMZ further added that their sources say Britney is in a ‘fragile and hyper-sexualised’ state, but that her recent behaviour has been the ‘last straw’ for Sam.
Britney has a prenup, but it seems that Sam is pushing for a renegotiation. Page Six reports that he is “attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid.”
“So that’s what Sam is focused on,” their insider said.
It is thus far unclear as to how much Sam is aiming for in the divorce, or whether their current prenup allows for the disclosure of negative information. However, one source told the outlet that “any money she made before the wedding is protected.”
A second source said that Britney’s team have “protected” her and that their “parting will be respectful.”
“It’s blackmail and it’ll never happen,” they added.
