Jennifer Aniston has revealed that her Just Go With It co-star Adam Sandler and his wife send her flowers every year for Mother’s Day as a result of her fertility struggles.
Aniston opened up about her struggles to get pregnant to Allure last year. She revealed that she went through “really hard s***” in her thirties and forties.
“I would say my late thirties, forties, I’d gone through really hard s*** and if it wasn’t for going through that, I would’ve never become who I was meant to be,” she told the outlet, per The Independent.
“That’s why I have such gratitude for all those s****y things. Otherwise, I would’ve been stuck being this person that was so fearful, so nervous, so unsure of who they were. And now, I don’t f***ing care.”
The Friends star continued to describe how she “tried everything” to get pregnant.
“I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road,” she said.
“All the years and years and years of speculation… It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it,” she said.
“I would’ve given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favour.’ You just don’t think it. So, here I am today. The ship has sailed.”
“I have zero regrets,” she continued. “I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.’ I don’t have to think about that anymore.”
Aniston revealed that her fertility struggles made her divorce from Brad Pitt in 2005 even harder, as she was painted as being ‘selfish’ for caring more about her career and ‘not wanting children’.
“God forbid a woman is successful and doesn’t have a child. And the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn’t give him a kid. It was absolute lies,” she said.
“I don’t have anything to hide at this point.”
In Aniston’s latest interview with the Wall Street Journal, the fifty-four-year-old revealed that Adam Sandler and his wife, Jackie, send her flowers every Mother’s Day as a show of support for the star.
Aniston is close friends with the couple, and has worked repeatedly with Sandler on movies such as on Netflix’s Murder Mystery movies.
