Serena Williams has welcomed her second child, and even revealed the little one’s adorable name.
The news of the forty-one-year-old tennis legend’s new kid with tech entrepreneur husband Alexis Ohanian was first announced on TikTok, and they later confirmed the new arrival’s name via Ohanian’s Instagram account.
“Welcome, Adira River Ohanian,” he began. “I’m grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama. Feeling grateful. @serenawilliams you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT.
“Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife & our daughter. I’ll never forget the moment I introduced @olympiaohanian to her baby sister.”
He finished the post with this quote: “Your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea.”
Friends and fans took to the comments section of Ohanian’s post to share their congratulations with the new parents.
Tennis icon Billie Jean King wrote: “Congratulations to the entire family from both of us!”
Naomi Campbell, who has recently welcomed her own second child, said: “Congratulations.”
Reality star Cheryl Mimi Chandler-Harris wrote: “The start of a mini Venus & Serena! Congratulations!!”
Following the announcement of the little one’s name, everyone is saying the same thing – that it is such a beautiful choice!
