Jennifer Lopez has shared a sweet selection of photos from her wedding to Ben Affleck to mark their anniversary. However, in true internet fashion, everyone is making the same joke about Affleck.
Affleck and Lopez wed last year, over twenty years after they split up, and it appeared that they had finally achieved their fairytale romance.
In a recent interview with Today, Jennifer expressed nothing but joy for her new spouse and life, calling 2022 her “best year” since the birth of her children. She added: “It’s been, like, a really kind of emotional transition, but at the same time all your dreams coming true.”
However, some people think things haven’t been going as smoothly for the pair as she let on. They have been spotted numerous times squabbling about one thing or another. But their Grammys spat, which went viral earlier this year, led people to believe their relationship isn’t all sunshine and rainbows.
In the clip, Jennifer turns her head and sharply addresses Ben after the actor can be seen bending down to whisper something in her ear.
While we can’t make out what the pair are talking about, a lip reader for the Daily Mail claims J-Lo said: “Stop. Look more friendly. Look motivated.”
They went on to say that Affleck replied with: “I might.”
Their awkward interaction quickly became a meme, with Twitter users jumping on the drama online.
Many were trying to figure out what the singer was saying to Affleck.
One person wrote: “I’d pay for an alternate Grammy broadcast that’s just a livestream of Ben Affleck and J. Lo’s table.”
Another said: “Someone get Ben Affleck a cigarette and a Dunkin’ coffee stat.”
Despite that whole drama having gone down earlier this year, the pair are still going strong, and are actually just celebrating their first wedding anniversary. J Lo shared a couple of pictures from their big day to celebrate, but fans can’t stop making the same joke about the sweet snaps.
Affleck is known for his being the human equivalent of grumpy cat, but he seems pretty chipper in the snaps from their big day, much to people’s surprise.
One person joked: “AND that was the last time we saw him smiling!”
A second quipped: “So why does he always look so miserable? Lol.”
