Adam Sandler’s latest Netflix movie You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah has allowed the star to reach new heights in his career, as he has broken his own Rotten Tomatoes record with the new flick.

However, it is Sandler’s latest offering that has fans excited, as it has achieved fresh acclaim for the star. You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah is an adaptation of Fiona Rosenbloom’s beloved coming-of-age novel, and the flick even features nearly all of Sandler’s real life family.

Gary Goldstein of the Los Angeles Times said: “Open your heart and turn off your logic meter and you‘re going to enjoy You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah.”

Chris Vognar of Rolling Stone writes: “Cry nepotism all you want, but the entire brood acquits itself quite well, and they seem to be having an infectiously good time together. It helps a great deal that the film is energetically directed and written.”

While Brian Lowry of CNN writes: “Adam Sandler’s daughter Sunny — the clear belle of the ball — quickly dampens the “nepo baby” asides with her winning, natural performance in a familiar but very nicely done coming-of-age story.”

The film hit Netflix in the US on August 25, and is set to reach the UK soon.
