Miley Cyrus has opened up about her sexuality, addressing a photo of her, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, and Hannah Montana co-star Emily Osment in Los Angeles, in which she claims she gives off bisexual vibes.

In an Aug. 31 TikTok, the singer made fun of the now-viral snapshot of their group excursion, which featured Miley in joggers, a sweater and comfy boots while the others were dressed to the nines. 

The actress turned singer officially came out as pansexual back in 2016, and she was astounded that no one picked up on her sexuality before she came out. She said: “If you guys didn’t know I was bisexual from this damn picture, I don’t know what’s wrong with you,” she said, adding: “I mean, hello! Look at them!”

The trio had just returned from the red carpet premiere of Hannah Montana: The Movie, where Miley had worn a turquoise fringed dress, a leather jacket, and stiletto boots before changing into a more laid-back outfit. The Disney Channel star added that the tale of their night out is equally relatable in light of how the picture has now gained notoriety as a meme urging individuals to “be the Miley of your friend group.”

“Me and Emily and Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato are going to The Cheesecake Factory,” she revealed, stating: “These are some classy ladies.”

She opened up as part of her “Used to Be Young” TikTok series, which celebrates Miley’s most recent single of the same name, and is a real trip down memory lane for her fans. The singer also discussed her controversial 2008 Vanity Fair cover, where she posed partially naked at just fifteen. 

In a TikTok video posted on August 30, she said: “Everyone knows the controversy of the photo, but they don’t really know the behind-the-scenes, which is always much more meaningful,” revealing that her little sister was “pushing the button of the camera taking the pictures.”

Looking back on the controversy she found herself in as a result, Miley remarked that the picture was “complete opposite of the bubblegum pop star that I had been known for being and that’s what was so upsetting,” adding: “But really, really brilliant choices looking back now from those people.”
