Alba Baptista and Chris Evans have reportedly wed over the weekend, meaning he’s officially off the market!
The newlyweds tied the knot in a small ceremony held at their home in the Boston region on Saturday.
According to an insider, the wedding was “locked down tight,” with attendees signing NDAs and handing over their phones.
There were a handful of their closest family and friends at the ceremony, with Evans Marvel co-stars, such as Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner making an appearance.
The pair initially stirred up relationship rumours back in November 2022, when a source informed People that the couple had been dating for “over a year.”
“They are in love, and Chris has never been happier,” the insider added. “His family and friends all adore her.”
Within hours of the news breaking, the couple was spotted holding hands on a stroll in Central Park.
Evans has been showing his love for Baptista online, despite the fact that nothing is really known about the private couple’s relationship.
Despite this, the actor revealed he wanted to get married late last year.
“That’s absolutely something I want — wife, kids, building a family,” he told People. “When you read about most of the best artists, whether it’s actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn’t the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships, the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared.”
He continued, “So it’s also something through my long 41 years that also rings true. Those things are the most important. I love the idea of tradition and ceremony, I had a lot of that in my life so the idea of creating that, I can’t think of anything better.”
After finding out the news, dozens of fans have congratulated the couple online, with one writing: “HELLO IM STiLL MALFUNCTIONING OVER CHRIS EVANS AND ALBA BAPTISTA. DO I WANT TO BE CHRIS, DO I WANT TO BE ALBA, DO I WISH I WAS AT THE WEDDING, A FLY ON THE WALL, A PEBBLE ON THE GROUND, A PARTICLE OF DUST IN THE PREMISES?
While another wrote: “I know this isn’t their style but I NEED a vogue weddings cover for Alba Baptista and Chris Evans.”
