Gordon Ramsay Speaks Out After Tragic Death Of Son

Gordon Ramsay has spoken out after the heartbreaking death of his son Rocky.

The cooking star is known for his harder side, having made a name for himself as a straight-talking chef with a fiery temper on shows such as Hell’s Kitchen and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares.

Additionally, Ramsay has a host of culinary awards for his various restaurant endeavours. Over the course of his career, he has amassed an incredible seventeen Michelin stars.

However, what some people don’t know about Ramsay is that behind the scenes he has experienced some family tragedies.

Ramsay and his wife Tana Hutcheson have 5 children together. The couple share twenty-one-year-old Tilly, twenty-three-year-old twins Jack and Holly and their twenty-five-year-old daughter Megan.

The youngest of their brood is 4-year-old Oscar.

However, in 2016, Hutcheson miscarried their unborn baby, who they named Rocky, after 5 months of pregnancy.

“There’s no book that guides you through that loss, and so losing Rocky was really tough,” the fifty-six-year-old chef told People.

“Watching the trauma unfold, it’s this life-changing moment.”

“We wouldn’t have had Oscar had we not lost Rocky. There was no substitute – far from it – but it brought us a bond that you’d never experience in a normal situation,” Ramsay said.

Ramsay’s wife shared an Instagram post addressing the loss back in June.

“A happy picture taken of us celebrating Megan’s 18th, I was just under 20 weeks pregnant,” she wrote.

“Little did we know, a few days later I would be holding our little boy Rocky – born with a strong heartbeat, but too little to survive.

“Although it’s 7 years today, it still feels like yesterday. We all miss you everyday. We love you Rocky, forever in our hearts. I couldn’t do this without my family, you are all everything to me.”

Ramsay praised his wife for her resilience in the new interview.

“That’s the power of Tana,” he said. “Just watching the way that she dealt with it – and opened up with other friends and women in close proximity that could give advice – she was incredible straight after that.”

“There’s a lot of things that Tana’s done, that we wouldn’t be here today without that strength,” he said, adding that their kids “get a lot of strength from their mom.”
