Will Smith has broken his silence on Jada Pinkett Smith’s confession about their marriage in a new brutal video.
It comes after Jada revealed that her and Will have been secretly separated for 7 years.
The Smiths have been garnering more attention since the 94th Academy Awards ceremony when Will won Best Actor, and also, more importantly, called out Chris Rock for his offensive joke about Jada’s hair, landing one of the most famous slaps in TV history.
The pair have been making headlines for all the wrong reasons, and things reached boiling point at the 2022 Oscars ceremony on March 27. Will made a bold move and slapped Rock, who was presenting the award for best documentary, following a tongue-in-cheek comment which was seemingly directed at Jada’s alopecia-related hair loss.
Smith then stormed back to his seat and yelled out at the stage: “Keep my wife’s name out ya f***ing mouth.”
Following the incident, Jada Pinkett Smith opened up on her podcast The Red Table Talk, to share her thoughts.
Without the help of co-hosts Willow Smith and her mom Adrienne Banfield-Norris, Pinket Smith spoke directly to the camera and addressed the issue.
She said: “My deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have the opportunity to heal, talk this out, and reconcile,” she continued. Without mentioning Chris Rock specifically, she went on: “The state of the world today? We need ’em both.
“And we all actually need on another more than ever. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last twenty-eight years: And that’s keep figuring out this thing called life together.”
However, last week, a new bombshell interview from Jada revealed that all is not as it has seemed between her and her husband.
The fifty-two-year-old has revealed that her and Will have been separated for 7 years, meaning at the time of the infamous slap they had been apart for 6 years.
“We’re still figuring it out,” she told People. “We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other, and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us.”
“I’m going to be by his side,” she said about Will, “but also allow him to have to figure this out for himself.”
Will has since responded to the bombshell revelations via a brutal video he shared to his social media.
“Notifications off,” he captioned the clip, which showed him wearing a life jacket on a speedboat while he slept, before sitting up. The video then cuts to Will outside taking in the fresh air as the boat zooms away.
He wrote over the video: “Fun fact about me I can take a nap almost anywhere.”
Jada has commented on the video with 2 laughing face emojis, and fans have been theorising as to what it means for the pair.
“Jada in comments laughing as if she isn’t the reason of these notifications,” one person wrote.
A second put: “Wait why did jada comment?? IVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS FAMILY.”
While a third said: “LMFAOOOO Will has HAD IT with y’all feelin sorry for him when he don’t feel sorry for himself.”
