Pink has cancelled 2 of her tour dates in the wake of a “medical emergency” that requires “immediate attention”.
The singer has just embarked on her Trustfall Tour, which kicked off in Sacramento, California, just last week.
However, in the wake of the cancelled tour dates, concern for Pink is growing.
Now, Pink is not a woman to be messed with. Born Alecia Beth Moore in Doylestown, Pennsylvania in 1979, the forty-three-year-old has become one of the best-known feminist music icons of our decade.
The singer first rose to fame in the girl-group Choice in 1995, when she was just sixteen.
But record producers quickly saw her potential for solo stardom and they wasted no time in snatching her right up.
And from then on she was a pop icon…
The album, titled Can’t Take Me Home, was certified double-platinum in the U.S. It included 2 top-ten hits, There You Go and Most Girls.
Since then, she has gone on to achieve huge career successes. Pink has sold over ninety million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling musical acts of all time.
And she is pretty head strong…
She isn’t one to sit quietly if she disagrees with something, as has been overtly critical of issues such as celebrity culture, misogyny, animal cruelty, and homophobia.
Her numerous hairstyles and outfit choices over the years have certainly outlined her daring attitude. She first captured press attention as a result of her wild and wacky outfits, including her eponymous “pink” hair.
However, recently, fans have been growing concerned for the star after she cancelled 2 of her tour dates due to a “family medical emergency”.
The star was due to play 2 shows in Tacoma, Washington, on October 17 and 18, but the incident has caused for her to cancel the dates.
“Family medical issues require our immediate attention. I send everyone my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this has caused,” she wrote.
“I am sending nothing but love and health to all.”
She confirmed that they are “working on future dates to reschedule.”
Fans have been sharing their well wishes with the ‘Cover Me In Sunshine’ songstress after she shared the heartbreaking news.
“Take care of you and the family, we know you don’t cancel shows for any reason if not something really serious,” one person wrote in the comments.
“I hope everything is ok,” a second penned. “Family is the most important thing. Sending lots of love to you and your family.”
A third put: “I hope everything is ok and that you’re all healthy and safe. Sending love.”
