Why Travis Kelce Will Not Be Joining Taylor Swift At Grammys

Contrary to earlier speculations, Page Six has confirmed that Travis Kelce, the 34-year-old NFL star, will not be accompanying Taylor Swift to the 2024 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles this Sunday. The Kansas City Chiefs, including Kelce, will be heading to Las Vegas together to prepare for the upcoming Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers on the following Sunday.

Sources reveal that the Chiefs are on a tight schedule leading up to the highly anticipated Super Bowl, leaving Kelce with no time for any additional travel. TMZ was the first to report this development, clarifying that Kelce’s focus is solely on the crucial preparations for the big game.

While it remains uncertain whether Swift will attend the Grammy Awards solo or choose another companion, the night promises to be memorable for the singer. Swift is nominated in six categories, including record of the year, album of the year, song of the year, best pop solo performance, best pop duo/group performance, and best pop vocal album.

Despite the demanding schedules of the power couple, recent revelations indicate that Swift will be actively supporting her boyfriend Kelce during the Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium on February 11. An insider shared that Swift, currently touring internationally with her Eras Tour, will make it back to the States just in time to stand by Kelce’s side.

Swift is set to perform four shows in Tokyo starting February 7, with her final performance at the Tokyo Dome scheduled for February 10, one day before the Super Bowl kickoff at 3:30 p.m. local time. Despite the challenges of a lengthy and grueling flight, Swift is committed to catching a plane right after her concert, taking advantage of the time difference that works in her favor. With Tokyo 17 hours ahead of Las Vegas, she gains an advantage in “traveling back in time” as she crosses multiple time zones.
