Travis Kelce, despite being far from the Grammy Awards 2024 event, demonstrated his support for Taylor Swift by engaging with a social media post by NPR that showcased the singer-songwriter on the red carpet.

The 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end showed his endorsement by liking the Instagram post that captured Swift, also 34, in her radiant appearance at the ceremony held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Swift was dressed in an elegant white Schiaparelli gown, complemented by a custom Lorraine Schwartz vintage watch, repurposed as a choker and set to midnight, a nod to her nominated album.

The post highlighted, “Check out some of this year’s most memorable red carpet looks from the 66th annual Grammy Awards. Taylor Swift, Janelle Monae, Miley Cyrus and Jon Batiste are some of the celebrities that hit the red carpet.”

Swift achieved a milestone during the event by becoming the first artist to clinch four Album of the Year awards, thanks to her win for “Midnights.” In her speech, Swift expressed, “I would love to tell you that this is the best moment in my life,” and shared her joy in the creative process, from songwriting to preparing for shows.

Swift was in the running for six awards for “Midnights,” including Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year, with her song “Anti-Hero” nominated for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance. Additionally, she was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Karma.”

Speculation about Kelce’s attendance at the Grammys, especially after Swift supported him at the AFC Championship, was quashed when Kelce mentioned on “The Pat McAfee Show” that, despite his wishes, he couldn’t attend due to practice commitments, humorously noting, “But I think I’ve got practice on Sunday.”

Kelce is currently in Las Vegas, focusing on the Chiefs’ pursuit of another Super Bowl victory.

Swift, after the Grammy ceremony, is set to perform in Tokyo as part of her Eras Tour on February 10, just before the Super Bowl in Vegas. Despite the logistical challenges posed by the 12-hour flight and 17-hour time difference, the Japanese embassy in Washington, DC, assured that Swift could perform in Tokyo and still make it to Las Vegas in time for the Super Bowl, stating on X, “Despite the 12-hour flight and 17-hour time difference, the Embassy can confidently Speak Now to say that if she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins.”

The embassy’s message also highlighted the excitement in Japan for Swift’s tour and reassured fans that she could entertain her Japanese audience and support the Chiefs at the Super Bowl, concluding with a playful nod to Swift’s albums, “We know that many people in Japan are excited to experience Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, so we wanted to confirm that anyone concerned can be Fearless in knowing that this talented performer can wow Japanese audiences and still make it to Las Vegas to support the Chiefs when they take the field for the Super Bowl wearing Red.”

Super Bowl LVIII is scheduled for February 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
