‘Heartsick’ Jennifer Lopez Cancels Her Entire Tour Amid Marriage Troubles

Jennifer Lopez has decided to cancel her upcoming North American tour to spend more time with her family, expressing to her fans that she is “devastated” about the decision.

The singer and actress was set to begin her first tour in five years in Orlando on June 26, with plans to visit various cities across the US and Canada, concluding in Houston on August 31.

On Friday, a representative from events promoter Live Nation announced the tour’s cancellation, stating to Billboard: “Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family, and close friends.”

They assured that those who purchased tickets via Ticketmaster would automatically receive refunds, while those who bought through third-party resale sites would need to contact their points of purchase for further details.

The 54-year-old also addressed her fans directly about the cancellation in her newsletter, “OnTheJLo.”

“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down,” she wrote. “Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you, and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time.”

Lopez had announced the tour in February. Initially dubbed “This is Me… Now: The Tour,” it was intended to promote her 10th studio album and the accompanying Prime Video movie of the same name.

As Variety noted, by April, the tour had been rebranded to “This Is Me… Live: The Greatest Hits,” speculating that this was due to low ticket sales and an effort to attract fans of Lopez’s entire discography rather than just her latest work.

However, Entertainment Weekly reported that Lopez “made no changes to the planned setlist or the content of the show itself and that the tour was always intended to be a celebration of Lopez’s career.”

The tour’s cancellation comes amid increased scrutiny of Lopez’s personal life. Last week, during the promotion of her movie “Atlas” in Mexico City, she shut down a question about her marriage to Hollywood star Ben Affleck.

In a video shared on X by Glamour México y Latinoamérica, someone asked: “Your divorce with Ben Affleck is real? What is the truth?”

Lopez’s costar, Simu Liu, intervened, saying: “OK, we’re not doing that.” Lopez added, “You know better than that.”

Lopez and Affleck married in June 2022 after rekindling their romance nearly two decades after they broke up and canceled their 2003 wedding. This week, the couple was seen attending Affleck’s daughter Violet’s graduation ceremony, according to People.
