Brad Pitt Responds To His Daughter Shiloh Dropping His Last Name

Brad Pitt has responded to his daughter Shiloh legally removing his last name from her moniker.

Following his divorce from Angelina Jolie, Pitt reportedly became estranged from his children, leading to Shiloh wanting to remove Pitt from her name.

They are also parents to three adopted children: Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, and Zahara, 19.

Last month, it was revealed that the 18-year-old had filed for a legal name change to go by Shiloh Jolie.

“He’s aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name. He’s never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter,” a source told PEOPLE.

“The reminders that he’s lost his children, is of course not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad.”

The source also mentioned that the actor is “still happy” with his girlfriend Ines De Ramon, who he began dating in late 2022.

De Ramon was previously married to Vampire Diaries actor Paul Wesley, but they separated in September 2022. Wesley filed for divorce in February 2023. Another source informed the publication that the Bullet Train star “still loves all of his kids tremendously,” adding, “This whole process has been very hard for the whole family.”

In addition to Shiloh, Pitt and Jolie’s daughter Vivienne also appears to have removed Pitt from her name. The 15-year-old assisted her mother in producing the new musical, The Outsiders, and was listed as Vivienne Jolie in the Playbill, according to PEOPLE.

It remains unclear if the teenager has legally applied to change her name like Shiloh.

Elsewhere, the couple’s eldest daughter Zahara introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” in a video shared by Essence last November.

It is unknown if any of Pitt and Jolie’s other children plan to drop their father’s name as well.
