Kevin Jonas Reveals Devastating Cancer News

Kevin Jonas recently revealed that he had surgery to remove skin cancer from his face.

On Tuesday, the 36-year-old singer updated his followers on Instagram, sharing a video of himself before and after the procedure.

“So today I am getting a basal-cell carcinoma removed from my head,” he explained. The Jonas Brothers member — who recently posted an adorable photo of his 10-year-old daughter Alena dressed as him — showed a mole on his forehead while lying down.

“Yes, that is an actual little skin cancer guy that has started to grow,” he said. “And now I have to get surgery to remove it, so here we go.”

After the procedure, he pulled back the gauze to inspect the post-operative results, using a shocked, wide-eyed emoji to conceal the incision. Kevin himself made a similar expression after seeing under the bandage.

The video then cut to Kevin sitting in his car, ready to drive home after the quick procedure.

“Alright, I’m done,” the Camp Rock actor said. “Now it’s time to heal. Heading home.”

He also encouraged his 4.9 million followers to regularly get health checkups. “Make sure to get those moles checked, people,” the former Disney star added.

In the caption, he reiterated: “Friendly reminder to get your moles checked.”

This news comes shortly after Kevin and his brothers, Nick and Joe, postponed their Jonas Brothers tour titled “Five Albums. One Night. The World Tour.” Besides visiting his doctor and undergoing surgery, Kevin has also been spending time with his two daughters: Alena, 10, and Valentina, 7.

Kevin shares Alena and Valentina with his wife, Danielle Deleasa, a former hairdresser whom he married in 2009.

Meanwhile, his brother Nick has been busy filming the upcoming musical comedy “Power Ballad.”
