Rob Schneider Is Still Deeply Offended By Will Smith Slapping Chris Rock, Calls Him A ‘Fraud’

Rob Schneider and Will Smith’s relationship is anything but friendly. During a recent episode of The Kyle & Jackie O Show, Schneider unleashed a tirade against the Bad Boys 4 actor, branding him a “liar” and an “utter fraud,” disputing Smith’s public image as a nice guy.

Schneider’s harsh words were sparked by the infamous incident at the Academy Awards on March 27, 2022, where Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock. “Will Smith has been hiding the fact of who he really is, and it was exposed that night that he’s really an asshole,” Schneider remarked. He criticized Smith’s actions, calling it a “deep, dark thing” to assault a legendary comedian like Rock, whom he praised as a pivotal figure in modern comedy.

Smith received a 10-year ban from the Oscars following the incident, but Schneider believes the punishment should have been more severe. “Will is a douchebag,” Schneider asserted, arguing that the Academy’s response was too lenient due to political correctness. He claimed that if he had committed the same act, he would have faced immediate arrest.

Schneider accused the Academy of being “cowardly” and overly concerned with appearing racist, emphasizing that violence should be punished regardless of the perpetrator’s background. “The point is, violence is what it is. And whether the color of your skin or your religion, it doesn’t matter if you commit a crime in front of other people, you get hauled out of there,” he stated.

Schneider’s comments follow remarks by Stephen A. Smith, who acknowledged the impact of the incident on Will Smith’s career. Although Stephen A. Smith remains a fan and intends to see the new Bad Boys film, he admitted that many people, including himself, find it difficult to move past the Oscars slap.

Despite the controversy, the fourth installment of the Bad Boys franchise, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, had a successful opening weekend, grossing $100 million globally.
