‘The Boys’ Fans Are Comparing Show To ‘The Human Centipede’ After Watching Horrific Scene In New Season

When it comes to The Boys, outrageous scenes are part and parcel of what we’ve all come to expect. From a tiny superhero jumping inside someone in the first season to the extremely unsettling ‘Herogasm’ episode in season three, the show has delivered shocking moments from the start.

In season four, however, The Boys have taken things to another level. Episode two, titled ‘Life Among the Septics’, features a particularly disturbing scene.

True to the show’s style, this scene parodies one of the most brutally disgusting films of all time: the Human Centipede franchise. Frenchie and Kimiko walk in on a super-powered version of the titular centipede.

For those unfamiliar with the Human Centipede films, they involve humans being surgically connected mouth-to-anus to form a continuous chain. It’s as horrifying as it sounds.

Enter Splinter, a new character this season. Splinter’s power allows him to create near-instant clones of himself. While this ability could be used for a myriad of practical or heroic purposes, Splinter instead uses it for something far more twisted.

When Frenchie and Kimiko stumble upon him, Splinter is using his cloning power to create a train of himself—connected butt to face—pleasuring himself. Fans reacted to the scene as expected.

In the discussion thread on r/TheBoys for episode two, one fan simply commented, “BRO WHAT IN THE HOLY **** DID I SEE.” Another remarked, “he doing that human centipede type stuff what the **** was that.”

Adding to the absurdity, Amazon included a trivia pop-up during the scene that read: “Actor Rob Benedict wants us to remind everyone that he studied Shakespeare at Northwestern University. There is no contractual obligation for us to carry out this request. This is merely a kind gesture.”

The new season continues to push boundaries, and this scene is just one example of the show’s unflinching approach to shocking its audience. The first three episodes of The Boys season four are available on Amazon Prime now, and fans are eagerly consuming the latest installments of this wild and unhinged series.
