Elon Musk has confirmed the arrival of his 12th child, expanding his already large family. The newborn is his third child with Shivon Zilis, an executive at his company Neuralink, joining their twins Strider and Azure, who were born in November 2021. Musk, who is also the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, emphasized that the birth of his latest child was not a secret, despite it not being publicly announced immediately. He explained that all their friends and family were aware of the baby’s arrival earlier this year.

This latest addition to Musk’s family brings his total number of children to 12, with his offspring being shared among three different women. With the musician Grimes, Musk has three children: X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus, also known as “Tau.” Musk’s first six children were with his first wife, Justine Wilson. Their first child, Nevada Alexander, tragically died of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) at 10 weeks old in 2002. They later had twins, Vivian Jenna and Griffin, in 2004, and triplets, Kai, Saxon, and Damian, in 2006, all conceived through IVF.

Musk has been vocal about his views on population decline, expressing concerns that many countries are falling below the replacement rate needed to maintain their populations. He reiterated these views when discussing his new child, stressing that the global birth rate is declining and that it’s a significant issue. Musk has previously stated his desire to have as many children as he can support and be a good father to, reflecting his belief in the importance of addressing population decline through personal action.

In summary, Elon Musk’s family continues to grow as he balances his personal life with his extensive professional responsibilities and his advocacy for addressing global demographic challenges.
