Taylor Swift Responds To Dave Grohl After He Said She Doesn’t Play Her Music Live

Taylor Swift has seemingly responded to allegations that she does not perform her songs live.

Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl made a dig at Swift while discussing the band’s upcoming tour during a recent concert in London. Grohl announced that their tour would be called ‘The Errors Tour,’ a play on Swift’s ongoing ‘Eras Tour.’ He explained the name by saying the tour would have “a few more eras and more than a few f***ing errors,” adding that this was because “we actually play live.”

Unsurprisingly, Swift’s fans, known for their unwavering loyalty, did not take kindly to Grohl’s remarks. Social media quickly flooded with reactions, with one fan suggesting that Grohl’s comments were rooted in jealousy, claiming he would never experience the same level of fame and love as Swift. Another fan expressed disappointment, stating they loved Dave Grohl but felt he should not be starting conflicts with Taylor Swift and her fanbase. A third fan found Grohl’s decision to mock Swift and falsely claim she doesn’t play music live to be a rare misstep for someone typically known for having good judgment.

Swift seemed to respond to these allegations during her own concert at Wembley Stadium over the weekend, marking her third show in the UK’s capital. She told fans, “What you just did is an unforgettable moment in not just my life, but every single one of our crew. The band that’s going to be playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight. They deserve this so much and so does every one of my fellow performers, and you just gave that to us so generously. We’ll never forget it.”

Other fans defended Grohl, with one arguing that saying he has never experienced fame and is jealous of Swift is either completely ignorant or a sign of being too young and uneducated. However, there remained strong support for Swift, with another fan pointing out that it’s amusing when other musicians criticize Swift, especially when a literal Beatle, Paul McCartney, has called her the most influential artist of contemporary times. They concluded by asserting that Grohl knows nothing, while McCartney knows everything.
