Glee Star Urged To Change His Newborn Baby’s Name

Darren Criss, the actor and singer known for his role on Glee, has faced major backlash over the name he chose for his newborn son. Criss and his wife, Mia Swier, who have been together since 2010 and married in 2019, recently announced the birth of their second child. The couple named their first daughter, Bluesy Belle Criss, in April 2022, which had already drawn some criticism from fans.

However, the name of their newborn son has sparked even more controversy. In an Instagram post, Criss revealed the name of his son: Brother Laszlo Criss. While some fans and co-stars congratulated the couple, many others were quick to express their disapproval of the unconventional name.

Critics pointed out potential issues with the name, emphasizing that it might lead to confusion and mockery. Comments ranged from expressing pity for the child to questioning why celebrities often choose such unique names. Some fans even joked about the practical complications of having a name like Brother, noting how it could cause misunderstandings in various situations.

The backlash extended beyond Instagram, with discussions about the name appearing on platforms like Reddit. Users there echoed similar sentiments, with some humorously speculating that the couple might be fans of The Blues Brothers, given the names of their children, Bluesy and Brother.

Despite the criticism, Criss and Swier seem to have embraced their choice, adding a unique chapter to their family’s story.
