LeBron James once proclaimed, “ain’t no party like a Diddy party,” in a video that has resurfaced while rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs remains in federal custody in Brooklyn, following his recent arrest on sex trafficking charges.
The video, dating back four years, features the Lakers star joining Combs on an Instagram Live, where James made the now-viral remark. “Hey, everybody know, ain’t no party like a Diddy party,” James said, as Combs enthusiastically agreed. “Yeah that’s what’s up!” the rapper responded.
James, now 40, has not publicly addressed the resurfaced footage since it was rediscovered earlier this week.
The NBA icon has not been linked to any of the allegations against Combs.

According to an unsealed indictment, federal prosecutors allege that Combs orchestrated “freak off” parties, where women were coerced into performing sexual acts with male sex workers.
The hip-hop mogul was apprehended by Homeland Security Investigations at the Park Hyatt New York on September 16.
Combs faces three federal charges: racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution.
A Manhattan federal judge denied Combs’ request for house arrest, ordering him to remain in custody at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center without bail.
In another resurfaced video, James and Combs were seen dancing and singing together to a Migos track during a dinner party.
Back in May, James reportedly unfollowed Combs on social media after rumors about the rapper’s activities began to emerge, as reported by The US Sun.
In a separate old clip from February 2018 on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the host humorously urged Combs to attend one of her parties. “Are you gonna be early for my party?” DeGeneres asked.
Combs replied, “Yes I am — No,” before adding, “You know I have to arrive fashionably late.”
DeGeneres pleaded, “Not too late, though. Please.” To which Combs inquired, “What time would you like me there?”
“I’ll tell you later,” DeGeneres responded. “But not too late. ‘Cause, you know, once you get there the party really starts.” Combs jokingly added that DeGeneres would be “dancing so hard” her feet would get blisters.
