A Florida dad who paid $1,400 for his family of 5 to have a day out at Disney World claims he felt ‘punished’ by the park.
Craig Stowell shared on TikTok that he took his wife and their three children to the Orlando theme park and spent a fortune for an unsatisfactory day out.

Speaking in his video, which has now been viewed by many online, he shared: “I don’t want to say it this way, but if you do the average cost per ride, it probably isn’t really worth it,”.
He shared that he spent $974 for five day tickets – and that was including the Florida resident discount.
“It started with the ticket purchase, and then it ran right into the parking ($30), and then it just was like a cash cow for the rest of the day,” Stowell shared with “FOX & Friends.”
Stowell added that he picked up Lightning Passes for another $400 in order to skip the queues.

Disney has recently raised their prices for the 2025 season between $119 to $199.
This comes after Disney reported a decrease in the number of customers planning to return to the parks in 2023.
Stowell in his video claimed that the company prefers long-term guests over any locals or day-trippers.
“Unfortunately, I don’t think those day-trippers are what Disney wants,” he said. “They want you to never leave the park. They want you there for five days, and they want you to drop 10 grand. So, I think that one-day trip I’m actually being punished for it.”
Sharing that the total cost for his family day out was $1391.91.

After the success of his video, he shared: “I kind of had a feeling it would go viral,”, “It’s very relatable. It’s family-friendly. Disney’s always a hot topic and we’re all trying to pinch pennies.
“So, I kind of had an idea that people would be able to relate to it, just maybe not so much.”
