The body of a 24-year-old woman was found two days after she went missing from a music festival in Egypt – and the last texts she sent were chilling.

Ivonne Daniela Latorre, from Columbia went to the Zamna electronic music festival with her friend, Estefania Bedoy when she sadly disappeared.

Her family spent two days searching for her, before discovering that she had been put into a coma at a hospital in Cairo with serious injuries on 29 April.

It was then reported by Colombia One that ‘according to one of her family members, there are many versions of what happened to Latorre, and this has made the investigation more complex’.

They added that  ‘on social media, some of her friends claim she has been kidnapped and killed’.

This news follows the discovery that the victim sent her parents text messages about two men she met that were claiming to be producers.

Latorre claimed that they had promised to make the women famous.

In one of the messages, Latorre referred to one of the men as ‘The Serbian’ and wrote: “They don’t want to make us a band.” adding “He’s scaring me,”.

She then allegedly agreed to be picked up at her hotel room and taken with her friend, Estefania, to an afterparty.

Estefania was found at the hotel but her family found Latorre at the hospital.

Her family member Alexandra Marin told local media; “We had a hard time finding the hospital due to language barriers and the lack of cooperation from the people involved.”

She sadly was unable to regain consciousness and passed away on May 4.

The family have now shared a GoFundMe, writing: “Hello, we are the family and friends of Ivonne Daniela Latorre Sánchez. The goal of this fundraiser is to repatriate her body, as she sadly lost the battle she was fighting after a brutal attack while attending the Zamna festival in Cairo, Egypt,”.

“At this time, the family does not have the financial means to cover the costs of repatriation.

“We want to help her mom travel as soon as possible to be by your side. Her presence is not only an act of love but also an urgent need in this very delicate moment,” it adds.

Police are currently investigating. Heartbreaking, RIP.
