Netflix Viewers Say ‘Best True Crime Doc’ Is So Good They’re Bingeing It Multiple Times

Netflix viewers say the ‘best true crime doc’ is so good that they’re bingeing it multiple times.

The documentary shares a haunting story of identity, loss and heartbreaking realizations.

One viewers called it ‘one of the most haunting documentaries I’ve ever seen.’

Another wrote: “My heart is absolutely broke.”

In agreement, a third added: “Absolutely heartbreaking.”

“Such an interesting documentary,” commented a fourth.

Somebody else said: “My jaw dropped.”

On Rotten Tomatoes, the film got an impressive approval rating of 97%.

The Guardian labelled the doc as ‘slickly pieced together like a psychological thriller,’.

It tells the story of twin brothers, Alex and Marcus Lewis.

Alex sadly had a motorbike accident aged 18 and lost his memory, meaning he had to trust his brother to put his memories back together.

However, making the decision to hide the heartbreaking truth of their childhood abuse – Marcus made up a false past.

The first part of the doc shows Alex trying to find himself again with Marcus revealing the truth of what happened. As well as a heated confrontation between the twins, after the full truth is revealed.

Viewers noted the most poignant moment comes at the end of Tell Me Who I Am, when Marcus tells Alex the full truth of their past.

Speaking to Decider after the fact, Alex said: “We’ve achieved closure beyond anything I could have imagined with each other by making this movie,”.

“That’s an incredible gift the film has given us.”
