Marvel fans have erupted online as the new Black Panther is revealed as white.

The premiere issue of Marvel Knights: The World To Come landed on Wednesday and fans were introduced to a new character called Ketema, aka Black Panther’s son, according to reports.

T’Challa, prince of the fictional kingdom of Wakanda and the original Black Panther had a child with his earliest love interest, Monica Lynne – from the earlier comic books.

However, Ketema ends up battling T’Challa for his throne and beating him before removing his own mask revealing blond hair, blue eyes and what appears to be Caucasian features, shocking fans.

One person wrote: ‘They looked at this and thought it was a good idea?’ while another agreed, ‘Life is a horror movie in 2025.’

T’Challa was played by legendary actor Chadwick Boseman in the Black Panther movies, an immense representation of African culture.

Now, due to these alleged changes, fans are wondering if it undercuts the legacy he left.

‘Black Panther having a white son would be ridiculous,’ one person posted, while another agreed, ‘Black Panther is WHITE! Marvel actually did the unthinkable and it’s INSANE!’

The writer for the comic books, Christopher Pries, is known as the first Black writer-editor in any mainstream comic.
