“This isn’t the time. What would be the point of reaching out now? It really makes no sense,” the insider continued. “[Lively] has bigger fish to fry,” a likely reference to the actress’s ongoing legal situation with actor and director Justin Baldoni.

Lively, who turned 38 this week, is said to be focused entirely on her own family and career. According to the same source, “She’s not sitting at home obsessing about Taylor getting engaged. She’s got her own life to focus on.”

For fans who followed the pair’s friendship over the years — including joint NFL game appearances, red carpet hugs, and family holidays — the reported fallout comes as a surprise.
