Yesterday, it was revealed that Tekashi 6ix9ine is facing a minimum of 32 years in prison after being arrested on racketeering and firearm offences.

The New York rapper – real name Daniel Hernandez – was arrested in New York over the weekend along with three other suspects by agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), as part of a joint investigation with Homeland Security Investigations and the New York City Police Department.

Hernandez and his associates are believed to be involved in the criminal enterprise known as Nine Trey gang, with their indictment detailing the counts of armed robbery, conspiracy to commit murder and racketeering (fraudulent and dishonest business dealing).

Now, however, real life pal 50 Cent has weighed in on the situation and he doesn’t sound too happy with his colourful friend.

The iconic rapper wrote on Instagram:

“My son got picked up, I told him don’t call me. Sh*t. The Fed’s on you fool. Call ya momma. Don’t put the FBI on my phone. [sic]”

I think that’s what they call ‘washing your hands of someone.’

Back in October, Tekashi was sentenced to four years probation in a child sex case, but having breached the conditions of his probation he now faces time in prison.

HSI Special Agent in Charge, Angel M. Melendez said:

“Members of Nine Trey, who wielded firearms and pushed highly addictive drugs onto New York City streets, allegedly showed an unprecedented level of violence this year, and for that they are now facing multiple charges, including an incident in which an innocent bystander was shot.

This criminal enterprise has no business in our city, and we will continue to work with our partners to ensure that Nine Trey crew members, including the more well-known ‘Tekashi 6ix 9ine,’ are in a place where they cannot inflict further violence on our communities.”

If convicted, the rapper faces a minimum of 32 years in prison.
