Pink Reveals The ‘Medical Emergency’ That Forced Her To Cancel Her Shows

Pink has revealed the “medical emergency” that led to her cancelling 2 of her tour dates earlier this month.

The singer has just embarked on her Trustfall Tour, which kicked off in Sacramento, California, just last week.

Now, Pink is not a woman to be messed with. Born Alecia Beth Moore in Doylestown, Pennsylvania in 1979, the forty-three-year-old has become one of the best-known feminist music icons of our decade.

The singer first rose to fame in the girl-group Choice in 1995, when she was just sixteen.

But record producers quickly saw her potential for solo stardom and they wasted no time in snatching her right up.

And from then on she was a pop icon…

The album, titled Can’t Take Me Home, was certified double-platinum in the U.S. It included 2 top-ten hits, There You Go and Most Girls.

Since then, she has gone on to achieve huge career successes. Pink has sold over ninety million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling musical acts of all time.

And she is pretty head strong…

She isn’t one to sit quietly if she disagrees with something, as has been overtly critical of issues such as celebrity culture, misogyny, animal cruelty, and homophobia.

Her numerous hairstyles and outfit choices over the years have certainly outlined her daring attitude. She first captured press attention as a result of her wild and wacky outfits, including her eponymous “pink” hair.

However, recently, fans grew concerned for the star after she cancelled 2 of her tour dates due to a “family medical emergency”.

The star was due to play 2 shows in Tacoma, Washington, on October 17 and 18, but the incident caused her to cancel the dates.

“Family medical issues require our immediate attention. I send everyone my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this has caused,” she wrote.

“I am sending nothing but love and health to all.”

She confirmed that they are “working on future dates to reschedule.”

The ‘Cover Me In Sunshine’ songstress has since broken her silence on what the emergency was, after being forced to cancel even more shows.

“I am deeply sorry to share that I have a respiratory infection and my doctor has advised that I am unable to perform at the Vancouver shows on Friday and Saturday,” she wrote on a statement on Instagram.

“Live Nation is working on new dates to reschedule the shows,” she continued. “I am very much looking forward to performing in Vancouver and putting on an incredible show for everyone.”

“In the meantime, I wish everyone good health and am sending lots of love.”
