Anne Hergerty has become the nation’s sweetheart in little over a week.

Sure, most of us had a soft-spot for the stern Governess beforehand, but few of us really got to see the real Anne who has now won legions of fans during her short stint in the ‘I’m A Celeb’ jungle.

But before all the adulation from her time down under, Anne’s day job is destroying contestant’s dreams of going on the holiday of a lifetime with one right answer after another on ITV quiz show The Chase.

However, it seems she’s not too familiar with one of her campmates’ work, as she answered a question wrong about them on Tuesday’s edition of The Chase.

The usually unflappable quizzer was asked by host Bradley Walsh who presented the game show Cheap Cheap Cheap.

Frustrated, Anne answered: “I can’t remember.”

Oh, Anne.

Brad kindly passed the question over to the team and they correctly answered: “Noel Edmonds.”

Viewers quickly took to Twitter were quick to point out the hilarity – and irony – of Anne not knowing her future campmate:

Anne did, however, manage to make amends by catching up with the team and beating them with just one second remaining.

After her win, she said: “I knew Noel Edmonds, of course I did.”

Since Anne entered the I’m A Celejungle, Anne’s co-star Mark Labbett has revealed that viewing figures for The Chase have shot up, telling The Sun that the quiz show had “gained nearly a million viewers overnight.”

“Pointless was down to 2.6 million, which I think is the biggest gap we’ve ever had on them.

“Anne will be on some time this week and we could be setting record viewing figures if this isn’t a blip.”

Hopefully she’ll be better acquainted with Noel’s work after spending several weeks trying not to throttle him in the jungle.

Hopefully.
