Emma Chamberlain romance rumors are circulating after the YouTuber was photographed holding hands with musician Eden Joel in New York City on Oct. 19. Neither has confirmed a relationship, but clasped hands remain more than enough evidence for the internet to begin its usual administrative work.

Chamberlain, 25, and Joel, 22, stayed close during the outing. She wore a black long-sleeved sweater with a gray wool skirt and showed off a brunette pixie cut. Joel paired a gray sweater with a collared denim shirt and gray cargo trousers.

Joel is known for songs including “18 Wheeler” and “Rocksteady/HeavyMetal.”

Who has Emma Chamberlain dated before?

Chamberlain was previously linked to musician Peter McPoland, although neither of them publicly confirmed a relationship. In November 2025, she said on her Anything Goes podcast that she was single after a two-year romance, without naming the former partner.

Her most public relationship was with Tucker Pillsbury, the musician who performs as Role Model and is known for tracks including “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.” After years of speculation, Chamberlain confirmed their relationship in February 2023.

“There’s parts of our relationship that are going to be private forever, and those things we keep sacred,” she told GQ at the time. “But I don’t think we need to be secret anymore. It’s just like, I’m over that s--t.”

The confirmation did not lead to a long period of public coupledom. Chamberlain and Role Model split only a few months later.

Why Chamberlain keeps relationships private

Following that breakup, the Chamberlain Coffee founder said she was feeling positive and trusted that the situation had worked out as it should.

“I’m good, I feel really good,” she told E! News in November 2023. “You know what? Everything falls into place as it should. I mean, I guess not everything, but a lot of things do, especially in this context. It always does.”

She also described being single as a chance to focus on herself rather than treating it as a public crisis requiring several carefully lit statements.

“Ultimately, when there’s times where you’re alone, it’s time to invest into yourself,” Chamberlain said. “And that’s really exciting, and I think it’s a great opportunity to check back in with you. So, that’s how I’m kind of using this time.”

That approach appears to have continued. Chamberlain has not commented on the photographs with Joel, and the hand-holding outing remains exactly that for now: a public sighting, not an official relationship announcement.
