Katie Holmes and Jason Bard Yarmosky brought their relationship back to the red carpet on Oct. 29, attending the American Ballet Theatre fall gala honoring Cynthia Erivo at Lincoln Center in New York City.
The couple held hands while posing for photographers. Holmes, 47, wore a silky dark green gown with long sleeves and a drop waist, pairing it with dangling earrings and a black bag. She wore her hair in a bun. Yarmosky chose a dark double-breasted suit over a black shirt, keeping the coordination subtle enough to avoid looking like a formalwear assignment.
Their appearance came roughly three months after they first prompted dating speculation. In July, Holmes was photographed holding hands with the artist at a Hamptons screening of Olivia Wilde’s The Invite.
Less than a week later, they made their first official appearance together at a Ferragamo event, where both wore navy. Asked by Elle about the matching outfits, Holmes kept the explanation simple: “I think we just have similar taste.”
Yarmosky made the relationship Instagram official in August. Holmes followed with a photo from his 39th birthday celebration showing the pair embracing. “Happy Birthday to the best of the best…@jasonbardyarmosky,” she wrote.
Holmes, who shares 20-year-old daughter Suri with former husband Tom Cruise, has previously discussed the strain that public attention placed on her private life.
“Obviously, as a public person, I've gotten a lot of attention at different periods in my life,” she told InStyle in 2022. “And when you have a lot of attention, sometimes you don't want to leave the house because it's just too much. You can get consumed by what people think, but suddenly you just decide to do things on your own terms.”
At the time, she added, “I feel like I'm finally figuring that out.” Her latest red carpet appearance suggests those terms now include an occasional hand-holding photo call.
