The U2 Thanksgiving Eve halftime show will take place on November 25 at SoFi Stadium, where the Los Angeles Rams will host the Green Bay Packers in a game streamed by Netflix.

Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. PT and 8 p.m. ET. The National Football League is promoting the event as “a new NFL holiday tradition,” even though Thanksgiving Eve has not traditionally required its own entertainment schedule.

U2 return to an NFL halftime stage

The Irish band already has experience with football’s largest interval. U2 performed at the Super Bowl in February 2002, delivering a set that paid tribute to those killed in the September 11 attacks.

This appearance will arrive shortly after the release of Carnaval De Luz, described as U2’s first album of new material in nine years.

Jesse Collins Entertainment will produce the performance for Netflix and the NFL.

“There’s a reason U2 has headlined stadiums for decades: they don’t just perform, they deliver iconic moments audiences remember forever,” Netflix co-chief executive Ted Sarandos said. “We’re thrilled that they’ll bring that same magic to the NFL stage on Netflix.”

Netflix expands its holiday football plans

The Thanksgiving Eve booking follows two years of elaborate Christmas Day halftime productions from Netflix and the league.

The 2025 show at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis was billed as Snoop’s Holiday Halftime Party. It featured Snoop Dogg, Lainey Wilson, Huntr/X and Andrea Bocelli. A year earlier, Beyoncé led the widely promoted Beyoncé Bowl.

No Christmas Day halftime act has been announced for 2026. For now, the NFL appears focused on turning the night before Thanksgiving into another appointment-viewing event, because the calendar apparently still had room for one more officially branded tradition.
